Generic v Custom Software

A generic file is based on standard settings for a specific software version present in your vehicles ECU.

Some generic files are good, some are not so good and some are dangerous, in some cases causing serious engine damage.

As the word Generic suggests the settings provided are generic "One Size Fits All"

Even good generic files do not offer the same results as a custom remap, because they have to have "Happy Medium" settings, rather than custom settings

Generic is a cheaper option for people who cannot afford a full custom remap or believe all remaps are the same.

Due to the ever-increasing number of competitors using generic files to offer what appears to be a cheaper remap option, we now offer Generic remaps to provide a low cost option for anyone not wishing to opt for the benefits of a custom remap.

We have full control over the settings on a custom remap.

The settings on generic files are made to suit a wide range of vehicles with the same hardware and software numbers and as such are not programmed specific to your requirements.

Custom Written Files

Are a more expensive option but...

A Custom file is written on an individual basis and is specific to you.

It is based on your particular vehicle, driving style and power delivery preferences. In other words it is tailor made for you.

A good custom file will deliver better results than a generic file, and is based on your requirements, rather than non specific settings used in generic files.

You will find our prices extremely competitive and in many cases cheaper than others that can only offer generic files anyway.
