I had a diesel-tuning box on my car, but wanted to know if having a remap as well could increase the power further.

When I contacted Rapid I was informed that the tuning box would have to be removed before the remap could be done.

I agreed and went ahead with the remap on the basis that I was assured that the remap would deliver more power and better driving experience than the tuning box.

A couple of months have passed since the remap and I wanted to leave a testimonial as I am so impressed with the remap and service I received.

Even though I had to drive all the way up to the Midlands from Hampshire, I would have no hesitation in using Rapid Remap to remap any future cars I have, or indeed confidently recommending them to anyone else wanting to have a remap.

When I first had the tuning box it did seem to deliver more power at the bottom end but after 3000 revs the power seemed to be pretty much as it had been before I had fitted the tuning box.

Mike at Rapid Remap explained that any tuning box as it could not actually alter the torque limiter settings and this could only be done by remapping the actual ECU software.

After speaking to Mike at length I realised that a tuning box was only a partial solution.

Since the remap I can feel a substantial difference, the car is A LOT smoother, and delivers much much more pull through ALL the gears...a job WELL DONE.
